Class 2a Explores the World of Bees
Class 2a spent an exciting week learning all about bees.
The children created lapbooks about honey bees, worked in groups to research the lives of different species of wild bees, and presented their findings on posters they designed themselves.
In art class, they made beautiful honeycomb prints using stamps.
During a field trip to the Hirschstetten Flower Gardens, the class visited the Bee House, where they safely observed bees at work behind glass, and enjoyed playing on the trampoline and the insect-themed playground.
To finish the week, the children took part in a learning stations day, where they sampled different kinds of honey and even made their own beeswax candles.
Everyone had a wonderful time and is now a true bee expert!
