On Thursday, June 15th, the Marie Jahoda School Teacher Band put on a concert for all our students. We played old and new songs, in German and in English, including „Auf uns,“ „Chöre,“ „Flowers,“ „The Lion Sleeps Tonight,“ „Don’t Worry Be Happy,“ „Twist and Shout,“ and „Applaus Applaus.“ The students‘ energy was simply amazing!
That evening we put on a concert for parents, with some of the same songs and more. We repeated the performance the following Monday. For both parents‘ concerts, the Parents‘ Association generously provided drinks and snacks before and after the show. Parents could donate to support music education in the school.
Thanks to everyone who helped out, and everyone who came. We had a great time, and we hope you all did as well!
